Buying capital items, renovating or buying buildings, or restoring marae

CNZ funding cannot be used for buying capital items, renovating or buying buildings or restoring marae.

There are other agencies and funders that may be able to help with the cost of conducting capital works. Please refer to Other Sources of Funding on our website.

Arts Continuity Grants 2020

The one exception to this rule is our Arts Continuity Grants 2020. We will accept requests for capital expenditure relating to IT/computer hardware, to a maximum of $5,000.

This expenditure should be only for items that you need to complete your project. The need for these items should have arisen from new methods of working in response to COVID-19.

Eligible capital items include:

  • Desktop and laptop computers
  • Tablets
  • Monitors
  • Mobile phones
  • Peripherals*

*Peripheral components are printers, speakers, mouse, keyboard, microphone, camera, touchpad, stylus, joystick, scanner, USB flash drive, memory card, headphones and earphones/earbuds.
